Notifications¶
Notifications keep you on top of what needs your attention without having to constantly scan the queue. As an agent, you're alerted when something becomes yours or needs a reply.
What you get notified about¶
Interline notifies you when:
- A conversation is assigned to you — it's now under Assigned to me in your My Inbox and you own it.
- You're @mentioned in an internal comment — a teammate is pulling you in. See Team Collaboration.
- A new message arrives in a mailbox you're watching, or a client replies to a conversation you own.
- A conversation you own moves to awaiting response — the client has replied and the ball is back in your court.
Where notifications show up¶
Notifications appear inside Interline — typically as a badge or notification center in the app — so you can see and clear them as you work. Depending on how your workspace is configured, they may also reach you by email or desktop/browser alerts so you're notified even when Interline isn't the active tab.
Triage with notifications, not just the queue
A good habit: clear your notifications first (assignments and @mentions — things aimed directly at you), then work the shared queue. That way nothing pointed at you personally slips through.
Managing your own notifications¶
You can tune how much you're notified so the signal stays useful:
- Choose which events notify you (assignments, mentions, new messages).
- Choose how you're notified (in-app, email, desktop).
- Mark notifications as read or clear them once handled.
Find these under your personal notification settings.
Agent vs. workspace settings
This page covers your notifications. Workspace-wide notification rules and defaults are set by admins — see the Admin Guide.
That's the full Agent Guide. If you also handle setup, campaigns, or team management, head to the Admin Guide.
